Oshoala Wins UWCL Goal of the Season Award

According to the Obasanjonews.com, Super Falcons forward Asisat Oshoala has been named the winner of the UEFA Women’s Champions Goal of the Season.

The incredible bicycle kick that Barcelona’s Oshoala made against Benfica on the first day of play was chosen by the panel of Technical Observers from UEFA.

Aitana Bonmati, the striker’s former Barcelona colleague, finished in second place for her bending play in the quarterfinals second-leg victory over Brann.

Delphine Cascarino of Lyon, who scored a long-range goal in the second leg of their quarterfinal matchup against Benfica, finished third.

In February, Oshoala left Barcelona to join Bay FC of the National Women Soccer League (NWSL).

She scored the game-winning goal for Bay FC in their 1-0 victory over Angels City on her NWSL debut.
