Asisat Oshoala of Barcelona Femeni and goalie Chiamaka Nnadozie are at the top of the list of 22 players invited for the Super Falcons’ match against Ethiopia in the 2024 Olympic Qualifications.
Defensemen Osinachi Ohale and Oluwatosin Demehin, as well as reliable midfielders Rasheedat Ajibade and Toni Payne, were also called up for the match.
The other top stars invited to the games are Ifeoma Onumonu, Michelle Alozie, and Christy Ucheibe.
The first leg of the second-round match will be held in Ethiopia’s capital city of Addis Abeba on Wednesday, October 25, while the second leg will be held in Nigeria on Tuesday, October 31. As Nigeria, the nine-time defending champions of Africa, had a bye, Ethiopia defeated Chad in the opening round of the series.
The Super Falcons have missed the last three Olympics because to absences.
They performed there in 2000, 2004, and 2008.
