Introducing Ighodalo’s wife, Ifeyinwa to the audience with emphasis on the importance of having a female presence in Government House.

Mrs. Obaseki suggested that we select the most suitable contender for the impending election, and she happily introduced Mrs. Ifeyinwa Ighodalo – wife to our party’s candidate. Importantly, among all contestants vying for this position, only ours has a spouse; Edo women ought to acknowledge that having a female presence in Government House leads to enhanced opportunities.’

Oshiomhole responded by stating in an interview with TVC that the First Lady’s comments were unfounded. He highlighted that Monday Okpebholo, who is the APC candidate, is a devoted father and has significantly invested in his children’s education.

Okpebholo’s children, who include a lawyer and medical doctor, were actively involved in recent campaigning alongside their mother as highlighted by Oshiomhole.
