Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Edo North Senate seat, has won his electoral district.
According to the Independent National Election Commission, INEC, Oshiomhole received 479 votes to defeat Sen. Francis Alimikhena, a candidate for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), who received 39 votes and received 5 votes from the Labour Party.

The late arrival of election materials in the Etsako Federal Constituency was already criticised by the former governor of Edo State.
