Azman Air has suspended all operations and placed its staff on unpaid leave, citing operational challenges.
All Azman Air employees have been instructed to take mandatory unpaid leave as the Nigerian airline temporarily ceases its operations.
The reason for the suspension is scheduled maintenance of the airline’s aircraft.
According to Nurudeen Aliyu, the Public Relations Officer of the airline, two airplanes are presently undergoing maintenance and three more have been planned for C-checks.

Due to the maintenance work, domestic operations of the airline have been stopped and are anticipated to resume in October 2024 when the aircrafts become operational again.
Due to the high expenses of keeping the aircraft in good condition, Aliyu clarified that it is vital to implement a suspension.
According to a circular dated August 3, 2023 and signed by Magaji Mohammed Misau, the Human Resources Manager, only eight senior staff members are not required to take mandatory leave.
Due to the suspension of domestic operations, all other staff will be on leave without pay starting from August 1, 2023 as per the circular.
