Only Tinubu’s 2023 presidential campaign did not rely on ethnic or religious emotions – Mumuni
Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the president-elect, is the only candidate whose campaign was not based on ethnoreligious prejudices, according to Ambassador Abayomi Nurain Mumuni of the governing All Progressives Congress (APC).
These revelations were made by Mumuni, a former candidate for governor of Lagos State for the disbanded Congress for Progressives Change (CPC), in a statement that was made accessible to Obasanjonews24 on Thursday through his media assistant, Rasheed Abubakar.
On the occasion of the president-71st elect’s birthday, which was yesterday, the chieftain congratulated him and noted that Tinubu had created strong political platforms and trained many outstanding leaders who are at the top of their game all over the globe.
Mumuni argued that Tinubu, as governor, established institutions for the administration of justice, infrastructure, and transportation, including LAMATA, LASTMA, and LASEMA, among others.
He claimed that the incoming president never considers anything that may lead to conflict amongst the various groups and parts of the nation.
He made a plea to Nigerians during the event to pray for a smooth transition and the inauguration of the president-elect and other elected public officials in May.
The only candidate whose campaign in the recently held presidential election was not based on religious or ethnic emotions, according to him, was Tinubu.
“Let me use this once-in-a-lifetime chance to celebrate my uncle Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his 71st birthday. He was the only presidential candidate in the most recent election whose campaign was not based on religious or racial prejudice.
He is the only candidate to have won six states in the South and six states in the North because he never welcomes anything that can generate division.
Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a leading democrat among his contemporaries, not just in Nigeria but also on the global stage. His predecessor left enormous legacies and irrevocable effects.
“Thus, I implore them to pray for an orderly transfer of Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other elected officials in the ensuing weeks.”
