Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso, the party’s presidential candidate, is reportedly in the best position to restore order as the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) crisis intensifies.

Some of them told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that Kwankwaso was the party’s leader and that he could easily put an end to the boiling animosity by convening a family meeting.

According to NAN, the party has found itself in a state of disarray, with one group suspending Kwankwaso and numerous other high officials for alleged anti-party conduct.

The gang especially charged him with mixing with NNPP rivals.

In response to reports that Kwankwaso had been suspended, another group expelled Dr. Boniface Aniebonam, the party’s founder and previous chairman of the board of trustees.

Stakeholders have proposed a conference to sort out the problems and map out a course of action because the party is so muddled right now.

Mr. Mordecai Ibrahim, a House of Assembly candidate in Kaduna State, is one of these stakeholders.

“A meeting where we can do a post-mortem on the 2023 general elections should be called by Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso as the party’s leader.

All groups are need to put their weapons down and permit internal democracy.

“All types of haughtiness must be eliminated by the party. The excesses of one another must be tolerated.

“No one in the NNPP is battling Kwankwaso. We are rapidly losing members, so he needs to convene a meeting, the man stated.

The same sentiment was expressed by a party national official who requested anonymity.

Sen. Kwankwaso needs to speak up. It’s too loud for his stillness. He told NAN over the phone that his silence was impairing the party’s ability to speak.

When asked about the topic, Dr. Aniebonam stated that it is a family concern.

“I sincerely hope Senator Kwankwaso recovers swiftly from the situation at hand.

“Neither Kwankwaso nor I have made any public statements regarding the current state of the party.

Particularly the improper National Working Committee members, the party has boys who are only fighting for infrastructure and importance.

I am aware that Sen. Kwankwaso would be furious because he warned about the mischief of the illegal organisation.

“However, I can guarantee you that NNPP will emerge stronger following these avoidable circumstances.

It’s just a normal aspect of politics and society. Sen. Kwankwaso and I agree that the Kano State standoff and the establishment of good government are currently of utmost importance.

Aniebonam implores Nigerians to pray for his NNPP supporters.

Specifically, he asked Nigerians to pray for Kwankwaso and the governor of Kano State to triumph over obstacles to good government and envy. (NAN)
