One worshipper from an Ogun church kidnapping incident has been released- Police

The Ogun State Police Command has made an announcement regarding the release of Oladapo Oluwaseyifunmi, a member of the Celestial Church of Christ in Mowe, who was kidnapped by gunmen from the church.

Initially, the police had confirmed the abduction of both Seyifunmi and Oluboboye Abiola, who were taken from the church premises during the invasion.

Through the police spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, it was reported that the gunmen had escaped through the forest after abducting the worshippers.

Subsequently, the police shared on their Facebook page that Oluwaseyifunmi had been rescued following a joint effort by law enforcement, hunters, VGN, and Amotekun.

The publicist mentioned that Oluwaseyifunmi had been reunited with his family after being found in the forest.

However, there was no information provided about the second abductee, and the police confirmed that efforts were ongoing to locate and secure their release.
