The Ondo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has strongly criticized Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for allocating a staggering N5 billion for the renovation and purchase of accessories for daycares in the state.

The opposition party has raised concerns about the true intentions behind such a large budget allocation, suggesting that it is a ploy by the ruling party to gather funds for the upcoming governorship election.

The PDP, through its Publicity Secretary, Kennedy Peretei, has demanded a thorough investigation into the alleged fraud and the identification of all those involved.

The PDP has questioned the credibility of a document that supposedly underwent multiple layers of screening and vetting before being presented to the Ondo State House of Assembly.

They have also criticized the House Committee on Appropriation for not identifying the “regrettable errors” in the budget during the defense sessions with government officials.

The party believes that the Aiyedatiwa government had planned to exploit the daycare renovation project as a means to deceive the public, but their intentions were exposed by vigilant media outlets.

The PDP vows to take action against the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and Aiyedatiwa, emphasizing that they will not allow the misappropriation of limited resources for the political gain of one individual, regardless of their position.
