The Health Commissioner in Ondo State, Banji Ajaka, faced a violent altercation on Saturday when enraged members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ugbo Ward 3, Ilaje Local Government Area, accused him of concealing result sheets from the party’s primary election.
Ajaka was physically assaulted by party members who were waiting to cast their votes and suspected him of withholding the crucial document, as indicated by electoral officials.
Reports suggest that Ajaka was targeted due to his alleged involvement with the Aiyedatiwa faction, which was accused of tampering with the electoral process by removing the result sheet from the authorized materials.

The atmosphere at Ugbo Ward 3 was described as tense, with strong support for Chief Olusola Oke evident among the populace.
The residents of Ugbo Ward 3 expressed deep dissatisfaction with the situation, believing that it was Oke’s turn to lead the state.
Ajaka, when asked about the incident, admitted that he was assaulted based on suspicions that he possessed the result sheet, recounting how the mob turned violent while he was attempting to clarify the circumstances surrounding the missing document.
