A student at the Federal University of Technology, Akure, or FUTA, was found hanging from the ceiling in his room on Saturday.
Reports say that the dead student, Joseph Olona, killed himself in his apartment near the Aule axis in Akure, the capital of Ondo State.
Although the cause of death is uncertain, it was said that the industrial design student committed suicide because of depression brought on by money issues.
When he did not answer calls or knocks at his door, his door was torn down, and Obasanjonews24 learned that his close friends found his body in the early hours of Saturday.
It was determined that the deceased’s Facebook profile featured posts on suicidal thoughts, many of which also included messages asking for financial support for his business. The deceased used to produce self-initiated designer clothing under the brand name “Tart Angle.”
