Onanuga urges Yahaya Bello to surrender to EFCC
Bayo Onanuga, the spokesperson for President Bola Tinubu, has called on Yahaya Bello, the former governor of Kogi State, to present himself to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Onanuga emphasized that Bello has no escape route from the allegations made against him. The statement was made in response to the EFCC’s declaration of Bello as a wanted individual, accused of being involved in a financial crime amounting to N80.2 billion.

The anti-corruption agency has urged anyone with information regarding Bello’s whereabouts to contact either the commission or the police.
This declaration follows the ongoing conflict between Bello and the EFCC. Despite being absent from the Federal High Court in Abuja, where a lawsuit was filed against him by the EFCC, Onanuga took to his X handle to advise Bello to surrender himself to the EFCC and seek legal representation.
