Atiku Abubakar, the People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential candidate, has promised to reopen Nigeria’s borders after President Muhammadu Buhari shut them down.

On Saturday, he made the commitment during the party’s presidential campaign in Birnin-Kebbi, the administrative centre of Kebbi State.

“I swear to you that I will reopen the restricted borders.” “I am more knowledgeable than any of the other presidential contenders about border issues,” Atiku told the crowd gathered at the Filu Su Kuwa.

In addition, Atiku promised the populace that if elected president, he would address the nation’s security issues in order to advance agricultural endeavours.

Former Adamawa State governor Mister Bindow Jibrilla and former All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council director Naja’atu Mohammed were both formally welcomed into the PDP at the gathering.
