On May 22, President Buhari will officially open the Dangote Refinery in Lagos State.
Bashir Ahmad, Buhari’s special adviser for digital communications, revealed this.
The 650,000 barrels per day refinery, according to Ahmad, will support efforts by the Federal Government to make Nigeria self-sufficient.
Ahmad tweeted: “Efforts by the Federal Government to make Nigeria self-sufficient in local crude oil refining to conserve the limited foreign exchange utilized to import petroleum products have received a boost as the 650,000 barrels per day of local crude oil refining capacity has been reached. The largest single-train refinery in the world, the Dangote Refinery, will be officially opened on May 22, 2023 by President Muhammadu Buhari.
The Dangote Group had already revealed plans to start the refineries, according to Obasanjonews24.
