Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, a seasoned actor in Nollywood, has admitted that she would have been a prostitute.
This was said by Omotola when describing her early years in an interview with Nigerian filmmaker Chude Jideonwo.
She claimed that after the passing of her father when she was just 13 years old, she was in great need and was willing to sell her body.
When they came to pick me up from school when I was 13, I sensed something was off and hoped my father was still alive, according to Omotola.
“When I realised my dad had passed away when I returned home, I was unsure of how to respond or feel, so I just remained mute, but as I’ve become older, I believe I now fully get everything.
“Nothing anyone says to me can affect me; I am so sure of myself and have no fear of anyone. I have no fear for my life; if I had, I probably would have turned prostitution today.
I was in a dire situation and declared that I would rather sell my body than have somebody dismember my younger brother.
