The Tinubu-Shettima Presidential Campaign Council’s Director of the Diaspora Division, Prince Ade Omole, returned N2.4 million to the campaign fund.
The funds represented the remaining N10 million donated to Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s diaspora team for his presidential campaign on February 25.
Omole detailed the directorate’s spending in an eight-page dossier that included a breakdown of the costs expended in a statement on Friday.
Omole said that Christopher Tarka, the PCC’s vice secretary, had received the money.
“Campaign subcommittees typically don’t return the funds, but once again, you’ve paved the way. The directorate distributed “Tinubuism” and the APC Action Plan around the world, and Nigerians from all over the world gave a number of campaign mementos valued in the millions of naira,” he added.
