Omokri Alleges Peter Obi’s Support for Biafran Flag
Reno Omokri, a socio-political activist, accused Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of Labour Party, LP, of demonstrating loyalty to the Biafra flag. Omokri stated that Obi essentially ended his presidential aspirations by advocating for the release of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.
Obi had called for the release of Kanu, EndSARS protesters, and other individuals fighting for freedom, urging the Bola Tinubu-led Federal Government to do so.
Omokri emphasized his point by sharing a post on social media showing Obi alongside the Biafra flag, suggesting that Obi’s support for Kanu signifies his alignment with the Biafran cause.

Reno Omokri has been vocal in his criticism of Peter Obi, specifically claiming that Obi has demonstrated loyalty to the Biafran movement. Omokri asserts that Obi featured the Biafran flag on his Hero beer brand and regularly follows the Indigenous People of Biafra’s (IPOB) Monday sit-at-home orders. Additionally, Omokri contends that backing Obi equates to endorsing IPOB and its actions, which he believes pose a threat to Nigeria’s cohesion.
