The Super Eagles’ upcoming match against Sao Tome and Principe will be without Kenneth Omeruo.
In the 46th minute of Nigeria’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Sierra Leone on Sunday night, the Leganes center-back received a yellow card.
Omeruo had already received two cautions during the qualifying round.
On matchday four of the qualifications, the defender received his first warning against the Guinea-Bissau Djurtus.
After Francis Uzoho and Ola Aina, he is the third Nigerian to get a series suspension.
The Super Eagles, who have already qualified for Cote d’Ivoire 2023, will host Sao Tome and Principe in a dead rubber match in September.
