Following the recent tribunal decision declaring his election invalid, Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule has urged restraint among his supporters and the state’s residents.

Since the legislation allows him to appeal again, he told the state’s citizens that he will continue to serve as governor until all appeals have been heard.

In a Monday evening speech to the public and his supporters, Governor Sule acknowledged the short-term defeat but vowed to appeal the decision to a higher court.

He expressed gratitude to all of his backers, particularly the youth and stakeholders. He gave special thanks to the women who couldn’t participate but nonetheless stood out during the trial.

In order to support him, the men who continue to stand outside in the rain for the security services were thanked by Governor Abdullahi.

“Until I file an appeal, I will stay governor, and the law allows us to file another appeal. And whatever happens at that point, I will continue to serve as governor until the Supreme Court hears our case, said Governor Sule.

Sule encouraged the residents of Nasarawa State to maintain their composure and abstain from any activities that would jeopardise the state’s peace and order.

The governor emphasised the significance of trust in the legal system and the appeals procedure while emphasising that protests or disruption would not affect the tribunal’s ruling.

He declared, “We still trust in the judicial system, which is why we are going to appeal the case.
