They have also strongly criticized comments made by Bashorun Adeyemi against the former Governor and his successor, emphasizing that he does not represent the views of the Okun people and is merely a mouthpiece for certain political figures based in Abuja.
Speaking on behalf of Okun United for Justice, Eniola Olayemi highlighted that the Okun community prides itself on its inclusivity and dedication to the progress of the current administration in Kogi State.
Olayemi commended the achievements of the previous Governor, describing him as the most successful leader in the state’s history, and affirmed the credibility of the recent Governorship election held on November 11.
Olayemi further clarified that Bashorun Adeyemi lacks the authority to speak on behalf of the Okun people and stressed that the community is known for its intellectual prowess and gratitude.
The various developmental projects initiated by the administration, such as the establishment of Kogi State University in Kabba, the construction of roads in Kabba Township, and the establishment of essential facilities like schools and hospitals, have significantly contributed to the well-being of the Okun people.
The community remains appreciative of these efforts and is committed to supporting the government’s initiatives.
