Edo State Governor Okpebholo appoints seasoned broadcaster Sulaiman Aledeh as the Managing Director of Edo Broadcasting Service (EBS).
On Monday, Governor Okpebholo of Edo State announced the appointment of Suleiman Aledeh as the new Managing Director of the state-run Edo Broadcasting Service (EBS).

The Governor’s Chief Press Secretary stated that the appointment takes effect immediately.
The statement highlighted that Aledeh is not only an international journalist but also a strategic media and communication consultant.
He has more than 20 years of experience in broadcast journalism, working in both radio and television.
The statement further noted that the new managing director of the state-owned broadcasting organization graduated with a degree in Philosophy from the University of Benin in 1999. He started his media career while still attending university, gaining experience at Edo Broadcasting Service.
He has significantly contributed to esteemed international news channels such as Al Jazeera, SABC, and GB News UK.
He is currently the anchor for several news programs on Arise News and also offers his insights on Classic FM.
During his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program, he went on to work at Ebonyi Radio and became the first corps member allowed to read the station’s main news bulletin.
He continued to make his mark at the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria by creating and hosting influential shows.
He began his journey into national television with one of Africa’s leading media companies, anchoring flagship news programs on TVC and Channels Television.
During his tenure at Channels TV, he enhanced his expertise in creating engaging television content, producing some of the network’s most memorable promos and covering major events like the 2011 and 2015 general elections.
As the Assistant General Manager and Head of Media and Communications at Eko DISCO, Nigeria’s premier electricity distribution company, Aledeh exhibited exceptional leadership in strategic communication.
He is a Fellow at the Institute of Public Diplomacy and Management, as well as an Associate member of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations.
“Sulaiman earned a Master’s Degree in Humanitarian and Refugee Studies from the University of Lagos and has worked as a Special Correspondent and News Anchor for Arise News in both London and Lagos,” the statement continued.
