Okpe switches from Remo Stars to Rivers United

According to OBASANJO NEWS24, Rivers United have finalised the acquisition of Andy Okpe from Remo Stars.

Okpe paid an undisclosed sum to join the Pride of Rivers.

The 22-year-old attacker reportedly struggled to find a new home after dropping down Remo Stars’ pecking order.

Okpe was crucial to Remo Stars’ second-place NPFL finish in the previous campaign.

The striker began his professional career with the Sky Blue Stars and once spent a brief period of time with Inter Allies in the Ghana Premier League.

As they continue to get ready for the upcoming season, he has connected with his teammates.

On Sunday, the second leg of Rivers United’s match against Etoile Filante of Burkina Faso will take place in Port Harcourt.
