Okorocha was attacked by unknown gunmen, and one police officer killed

Some unidentified gunmen ambushed Sen. Rochas Okorocha’s convoy.

One policeman was killed when Okorocha’s convoy was ambushed on Friday in the Ihube neighborhood on the Okigwe-Enugu road.

Ihedioha Ohakim, a former governor of Imo State, was being laid to rest when the former governor of Imo State was attacked while traveling there.

In the state’s Ikeduru Local Government Area, in Amaimo, on Sunday, he made this disclosure.

The convoy was attacked, according to Okorocha, as it was returning to Enugu after dropping him off at his Spilbat mansion in Owerri after he had finished attending the funeral service in Mbaise.

“I’m angry,” said Okorocha. I’m furious right now. I’m upset because, despite spending two days in Enugu unharmed, a police officer was killed in an attack on the convoy that the governor of Enugu State, a good man, had released for me to travel in so that I could attend Ihedioha’s mother’s funeral in Mbaise.

“I’m furious about what’s going on in Imo State. I’ve seen a few candidates whose caps fit, but the majority of those vying to lead Imo State are incompetent. I will speak once it is appropriate.
