Okocha intentionally creating commotion within our party to gain financial gain – APC

Those who are involved in the party in Rivers State have continued to respond to the debate about who is the genuine head of the APC in the state.

While Rotimi Amaechi, a former minister of transportation, is referred to by APC members in Rivers State as the party’s leader, Tony Okocha, a former chief of staff to Amaechi who heads a section of the party, claims to be the party’s leader.

Okocha recently claimed that as the head of the APC, he directed the campaign that resulted in the election of President Bola Tinubu, according to a show on one of the radio stations in Port Harcourt, Today 95.1 FM. State youth leader of the APC, Baridakara Gbarato, blasted Okocha in response to this allegation.

Speaking on behalf of the executives chosen by the party, Gbarato stated that Okocha’s assertion that he leads the APC while referring to Senator Magnus Abe, the party’s governorship candidate, as the leader of the Social Democratic Party, is self-incriminating.

He claimed that Okocha was biased in his opinion of the state’s APC leader.

In addition to the former minister of transportation, Patrick Tonye-Cole, the APC’s nominee for governor in the state, is ranked higher than Okocha, according to Gbarato.

“Tony Okocha asserted that Senator Magnus Abe leads the SDP since he is the party’s flag bearer in the interview he gave today on Today FM.

“In the case of the APC, why is he claiming to be the party’s leader in Rivers State when he wasn’t even one of our party’s candidates for councilor, let alone governor?

There is no way one man could be a member of three political parties at once, thus there appears to be considerable uncertainty that Tony Okocha purposefully established in order to profit from the situation.

He claimed that the teenagers were continually being used by the man as data boys, with no clear understanding of their role in the administration. “This entire desperate move is aimed at keeping himself in circulation,” he stated.
