Oil output increases to 1.7 million barrels per day – FG
Major General Bashir Magashi, the minister of defence, said that the Nigerian Navy’s and other sister security agencies’ assault on crude oil theft resulted in an increase in oil output of 1.7 million barrels per day (bpd) above the level attained in July 2022.
Magashi spoke through Chief of Naval Staff Awwal Gambo at the Nigerian Navy’s 156th Special Direct Pre-Commissioning Training Course, 2022, SDPCT, graduation parade in Port Harcourt.
“156 cadets have finished the difficult training that started six months ago,” he said.I’m glad to see that recently graduated cadets are joining the Nigerian Navy’s officer’s cadre at a time when our country needs your help, especially from those who serve in the armed forces, to make sense of the different kinds of insecurity there.
“In the past several years, a number of accomplishments have been noted. In this regard, I’m pleased to note that the Nigerian Navy has continued to uphold security throughout the Nigerian maritime domain in addition to providing significant support to the sister services in some of this theatre of conflict.
