The Arewa Community in Southern Nigeria has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to refrain from releasing IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu before to May 29. The Indigenous People of Biafra, or IPOB, has denounced this request.

The Arewa community was cautioned by IPOB to stop slandering Kanu’s release.

Musa Saidu, the Community’s leader, made the call while criticizing the statement made by Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, the President-General of Ohanaeze.

In response, IPOB’s spokesperson, Emma Powerful, referred to the Arewa community as a mushroom group that was showing off its stupidity to the world.

“We, the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, under the command of Nnamdi Kanu, condemn the unguarded statements credited to non-existent and so-called Southern Arewa Forum against the unconditional release of Nnamdi Kanu,” Powerful said in a statement.

“It is clear that the mushroom Arewa gang is showing the public their lack of knowledge and inexperience.

They failed to remember that the Supreme Court of Nigeria, not them, would decide Nnamdi Kanu KANU’s case.

“It’s terrible that we were coerced into forming a coalition with individuals who reject the rule of law. These individuals have tarnished Nigeria’s reputation. Nigeria is now viewed as a pariah state by developed countries.
