Ogun Police Arrest Two Alleged Cultists

The police have arrested two suspected cultists in Ogun State. Discover the details of their arrest and the ongoing investigation into their activities.

Two individuals were arrested by the Ogun State Police Command for their alleged participation in cult-related actions in Sango-Ota, located within Ado-Odo-Ota Local Government Area of the state.

Abiodun Salami and Destiny Adeola, who were accused of committing a crime, were apprehended by the Ogun State Anti-Robbery Squad following information provided by residents in Ijoko.

On Monday, the Public Relations Officer of the state Command – Omolola Odutola revealed that on August 8th in 2024, two individuals were captured.

According to Odutola, the Eiye Confraternity members had assembled at a site in Ijoko together with these suspects.

“When the squad was sighted, they fled in varying directions,” he said. “Salami and Adeola were captured.”

During interrogation, Adeola disclosed that he was inducted into the Eye Confraternity at Atan-Otan in 2022.

According to Odutola, the police are making greater efforts to capture the remaining members who fled.

He observed that the objects found at the site consisted of a plaything resembling a silver firearm, amulets crafted in the vicinity and suspected cannabis.
