Tolulope Phillips, the Labour Party’s candidate for the 2023 Abeokuta South Federal Constituency election, has officially become a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ogun State.

Phillips registered at Ward 7, Ijaye in Abeokuta South Local Government on Tuesday. He had previously joined the major opposition party in the state after the last election.

In a statement to the press, Phillips expressed his belief that PDP is well-suited to govern Ogun State and Nigeria in 2027.

He emphasized the importance of rescuing Ogun and Nigeria from ineffective leadership that is causing hardship for the citizens.

Phillips highlighted the need for increased political involvement among Nigerian youths, urging them not to leave the political arena to unscrupulous individuals.
