Ogun community demonstrates against poor road conditions

The terrible state of their main road prompted the residents of Idomila community in Ijebu North-East Local Government Area, Ogun State, to hold a protest on Saturday.
During the demonstration, residents of at least 938 homes bemoaned the terrible road’s great difficulty and suffering on them.
The demonstrators bemoaned the status of the road, claiming that it had taken a life and left others hospitalised. They carried posters with various petitions, such as “Bike man, Motorist are avoiding this road” and “Gov. Dapo Abiodun, we appeal to you to fix Idomila road.”

The community’s road connected it to the Army Barracks of Ilese, according to Kunle Sanni, the head of the Idomila Elders Council, who urged the government to step in.She mentioned that the neighbourhood had tried using broken blocks and sacks to plug potholes. But the road is still in a bad state, making it difficult to get to the market, schools, and other necessities.
Road building from the market was seen to halt at Oba Sikiru Adetona’s home, the Awujale and supreme monarch of Ijebuland, after passing through Dipo Dina Stadium.
