The suspended PDP National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, was accused by Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike on Tuesday of having a personal agenda while in office.
Ayu allegedly gained influence in order to collect cash, according to Wike.
Wike stated, “Ayu had an objective, he came to acquire riches, and I have said this before,” during a media debate. Are you aware of the number of donors to him? Ayu isn’t constructing a university, is it? How did you get the money?
When Ayu was the PDP’s national chairman, Wike and his G-5 governors attacked him.
The governor had argued that it was inappropriate for the North to produce Atiku Abubakar, the PDP’s national chairman and presidential candidate.
Wike had charged Ayu of engaging in corrupt behaviour during the heated argument.
