According to Tanko Yunusa, the chief spokesperson for the Obi-Datti movement, the Obidient Movement is larger than the Labour Party.
In an interview that Obasanjonews.com watched on Channels Television on Friday, Yunusa made this claim.
It’s bigger than the Labour Party, he says. This is the case because it’s an independent movement with a distinct personality. Their interest lies in sound governance.
They have the ability to question the Labour Party’s actions, even if they are incorrect. Permit me to continue. We would contest any actions taken by His Excellency, Peter Obi, if they were not in line with good governance.

According to a spokeswoman for the Obi-Datti organisation, Peter Obi promotes good governance, which is central to the Obidient Movement.
He declared, “They are devoted to the ideas associated with good governance, and Peter Obi is promoting that specific good governance.”
Remember how, in response to criticism, the Labour Party renamed one of its directorates, the Directorate of Obidient Affairs?
The Obidient Directorate has been renamed the Directorate of Mobilisation and Integration, according to LP Obiora Ifoh, National Publicity Secretary.
“The Directorate is hereby renamed the Directorate of Mobilisation and Integration, in the party, following the controversies arising from the creation of the Directorate of OBIDIENT Affairs,” Obiorah stated on Thursday.
The party’s National Secretariat, located in Utako, Abuja, will host the inauguration on Saturday, June 8, 2024, by 10:00 a.m. People in the broader public and members of the party should take attention,” he said.
Following the action, Obi stated on his X page late on Wednesday that the movement transcends party, gender, and racial boundaries and goes beyond the LP.
He stated, “The Obedient Movement is well beyond a particular political party, even though political organisations may have a directorate for youth mobilisation.
“The Obedient Movement is an inclusive, varied group that is not limited by conventional political, religious, or ethnic ties.
“It is not headquartered in a specific region of the nation or domiciled within any particular party.”
