Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State has stated his willingness to present himself to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) if required, regarding his eight-year tenure in the state.
During the EdoBEST National Results-Sharing Session in Abuja on Wednesday, Obaseki highlighted his administration’s achievements.
“I’m not intimidated by the EFCC. Why would I be? The key is to remain focused. When I assumed office, I tuned out distractions and concentrated on what truly mattered, and today you can see the outcomes,” Obaseki stated.
“If the EFCC contacts me, I will willingly present myself; I’m hiding nothing.”
The outgoing governor also conveyed his belief that the vindictiveness and bitterness present in the political landscape are less important than tackling the real challenges facing the country.
