Former President Olusegun Obasanjo reveals the real reason behind his strategic meeting with IBB, Abdulsalami, and Gusau. Find out the details.
The motives behind the recent gathering of Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, General Abdulsalami Abubakar and General Aliyu Gusau at ex-Military President Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida’s (IBB) Minna residence have been made clear.
Obasanjo arrived at Minna International Airport around 4:30 pm and subsequently held a closed-door meeting for approximately an hour.
Obasanjo’s Media Aide, Kehinde Akinyemi, stated on Sunday night that Obasanjo went to Minna to celebrate IBB’s birthday.
Due to his busy schedule overseas, Obasanjo mentioned that he couldn’t pay a visit last month to the former military leader.

In addition, it was disclosed that Obasanjo had paid a visit to Chief Gabriel Igbinedion, the Esama of Benin in Edo State on Sunday for commemorating his 90th birthday.
The statement stated that following the festivities in Benin, the ex-President journeyed to Minna located in Niger State for a visit with President Ibrahim Babangida who marked his 83rd birthday on August 17th. While there, President Obasanjo recognized the positive impact made by former President Babangida and was pleased to celebrate his wellbeing.
According to the statement, Obasanjo expressed that he had been unable to do so earlier due to being abroad. He then offered prayers for the President’s continued good health.
