A statement was released in Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State by Kehinde Akinyemi, media assistant to the former president. The statement revealed that during a drama presentation called “Aremu omo Asabi,” which marked 66 years since his late mother Bernice Obasanjo passed away, the former president made an assertion.

On Wednesday, the main auditorium of Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital was the venue for a dramatic performance.

He stated that he had been informed of spending 12 months in his mother’s womb and hadn’t been separated from her ever since. Out of nine siblings, only him and his sister made it through.
