On January 15, former President Olusegun Obasanjo attended the second term inauguration of Imo state governor, Hope Uzodinma, at the Dan Anyiam Stadium.
Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas were also present.
The deputy of Anambra governor, Charles Soludo, represented him at the event. Despite the sit-at-home movement in the southeast, residents of Imo state showed up in large numbers, marching through the streets in vibrant clothing to witness the swearing-in ceremony. Uzodinma’s victory in the November 11 poll was declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
