Oba of Benin addresses Agba, Buhari’s Minister, saying, “You’re a disappointment.”

The Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II, voiced “total disappointment” over what he called the “lopsided representation” made by the recently-retired Prince Clem Agba, Minister of State Budget and National Planning.

NAN reports that Mr. Iguobaro Osaigbovo, the chief press secretary to the monarch, made the statement on behalf of the Oba in Benin.

The King pointed out that the former minister did not grant the senatorial districts of Edo South and Edo Central ministerial perks while in office.

In response to the Minister, who was visiting the palace as a token of appreciation for its assistance in the previous President Muhammadu Buhari’s nomination of him as a minister, Oba Ewuare reportedly expressed dismay.

Oba Ewuare stated that since Agba benefited from the kindness that resulted in his appointment, he should have returned the favor to the state’s three senatorial zones rather than engaging in “politics of disintegration.”

All Edo natives were urged by Oba Ewuare to use their influence to bring development to the region and improve living conditions for the populace.

The former State Budget and Planning Minister, according to him, performed “below par.”
