NPFL seminar highlights: Owumi advises club CSOs and supporters’ heads on key issues. Find out what was discussed and its significance for the league.
Davidson Owumi, the Chief Operating Officer of Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), has emphasized that the seminar aimed at providing peace and order in match venues during 2024-25 season was organized for clubs’ Chairmen of Supporters Club as well as Chief Security Officers.
A seminar was organized by the NPFL board in Nasarawa State to create awareness among clubs’ Chief Security Officers and Chairmen of Supporters club, before the commencement ofthe forthcoming season.
According to Owumi, the upcoming seminar is aimed at promoting safety and reducing incidents of violence and hooliganism during domestic league matches for both this season and future ones.

Owumi stated that the goal of the seminar is to educate those who are responsible for ensuring peace and order at match venues, namely Chief Security Officers and Supporters’ Club Chairmen from participating clubs in the league. Additionally, soft copies of all relevant materials will be provided with hopes that attendees can utilize them when they return to their respective Clubs resulting in positive outcomes.
Moreover, this seminar will establish a constructive path for the league’s progress in the future.
This Saturday, August 31st marks the beginning of the new NPFL season. The reigning league champions, Rangers International will face off against El-Kanemi Warriors; who are also defending their President’s Federation Cup title.
