NPFL changes the date of the Rivers United versus Akwa United match once more

The Nigeria Premier Football League has rearranged Rivers United vs. Akwa United’s matchup for matchday 18.

The match was initially scheduled for Sunday, January 14, 2024, at Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium.

The game will now take place at the same location on Tuesday, January 16.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.

Davidson Owumi, the chief operating officer, expressed sorry for any inconveniences the date change may have brought to either team.

In their rescheduled matchday 10 encounter, Rivers United lost 3-2 to Plateau United on Wednesday in Jos.

In contrast, Akwa United emerged from the relegation zone last weekend after defeating Abia Warriors 1-0 at home.
