The emir has been reinstated effective right away.

Nine months after giving a traditional title to one of the most feared bandit lords, Ado Aliero in the North-Western State, Zamfara State Governor Bello Matawalle has reinstated the Emir of Birnin Yandoto, Aliyu Marafa.

After a public uproar over the hiring of the criminal, the Emir of Yandoto emirate was reportedly requested to resign last July, according to Channels Television.

The suspended Emir was reinstated, according to a statement made on Sunday by the State Government Secretary, Kabiru Balarabe, since he was cleared of the crime he was thought to have done when he promoted Aliero to the position of Fulani leader.

The announcement claims that the emir’s reinstatement is effective right away.

Alhaji Aliyu Garba Marafa has been reinstated as the Emir of Birnin Yandoto, according to His Excellency, Hon. Bello Mohammed Matawalle, the Executive Governor of Zamfara State, Balarabe announced.

The committee established to look into all matters relating to the awarding of a traditional title to a repentant bandit, Ado Aleiru, made recommendations that led to his reinstatement.

“The commission did not discover any proof of any malice or bandit-Emir cooperation.

According to the committee’s conclusions, the customary title was given to the repentant bandit as part of efforts to promote peace between the people victimized by banditry and the penitent bandits in the Tsafe and Gusau Local Government Areas, which contain Yandoto town.
