Morris Monye, a well-known social media influencer and chairman of Delta State Sports Association, has announced the unfortunate passing of Nigerian actor Amaechi Muonagor.
Monye expressed his deep sorrow over the actor’s death, highlighting Muonagor’s talent and masterful presence on screen. He also mentioned the efforts made to support Muonagor in seeking treatment for his health issues in India.
Monye emphasized that this tragic loss underscores the urgent need for improved healthcare in the country.
The Actor Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has not yet responded to inquiries regarding this development. Muonagor, who had recently appealed for financial assistance for a kidney transplant, had been battling kidney disease.
His extensive career in the film industry included notable roles such as the father of mischievous teenagers in the popular film “Aki and Paw Paw.” Muonagor’s passing comes shortly after the death of fellow actor Mr Ibu (John Okafor) on March 2, 2024.
