A Nollywood actress is calling for help to raise N12 million for her breast cancer surgery, sharing her journey and urgent need for assistance.
Nollywood actress Tope Osoba has requested financial support to help cover the costs of her second surgery for breast cancer treatment.
Foluke Daramola, a fellow actress, brought attention to her colleague’s situation through an Instagram post. She mentioned that although Osoba had already undergone one surgery, another procedure is needed to eliminate the remaining cancerous cells. The estimated cost for this second operation is N12 million.
In a video posted by Daramola, footage of Osoba’s hospital examination was featured. It also revealed that she has reached out for assistance from Bolaji Amusan, widely known as Mr. Latin, who is the president of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN).
Daramola explained, “One of our colleagues has breast cancer. She has already undergone one surgery, but the doctors mentioned there are still some particles in her breast that need to be removed.”
“She requires approximately N10 to N12 million to recover and stabilize her situation. She has already reached out to our president, Mr. Latin, with a letter. We are doing what we can to support her.”
In her post, Daramola included a caption encouraging the public to support Osoba. It said:
Here is the colleague I mentioned to all of you. She has undergone surgery, and though we didn’t accomplish as much as we’d hoped, we’re grateful for everyone’s support. With her family by her side, we managed to cover the surgical costs, but we’re still seeking your assistance and help. Thank you!
Here are her direct account details: 0107515251 GTBank, Tope Osoba. Every contribution is appreciated. God bless you all abundantly in Jesus’ name, Amen.
In a different video, Osoba conveyed her deep appreciation to those who had contributed and earnestly requested further assistance to cover the costs of her second surgery and aftercare.
“I am incredibly grateful to everyone who supported me, especially those who donated towards my breast surgery. A special thank you goes out to Sister Foluke Daramola for her efforts in reaching out to people on my behalf.”
I still need your support, everyone, as there’s aftercare to consider. Please show me the love you’ve always given—it’s crucial for my recovery. I hope to be back on my feet soon and would truly appreciate it if you could do this for me as a birthday gift since it’s coming up on December 2nd. Thank you so much—I love you all!
