The stand of Lagos State tertiary institution students has been revealed regarding the upcoming nationwide protests that are scheduled to begin on August 1.

According to OBASANJONEWS24, Nigerians – particularly the youth population- are determined to hold large-scale demonstrations throughout the country starting from August 1st and ending on August 10th. The purpose of these protests is aimed at bringing attention to citizen’s grievances with their government.

The organizers anticipate that the protestors will assemble at state government buildings nationwide, as well as the National Assembly complex in Abuja’s Federal Capital Territory. Their aim is to voice their frustration with Nigeria’s difficult circumstances.

On Tuesday, Mr. Alimi Lekan-Idris, the President of National Association of Lagos State Students (NULASS), declared that their group would not be participating in the protest.

Mr. Alimi, while speaking at a media briefing hosted in Ikeja’s Lagos State University Teaching Hospital College of Medicine, appealed to Nigerian youth to engage in dialogue.

“It’s vital that we bear in mind the significance of peace and stability, and employ conversation to realize our shared objectives,” he stated.

In light of these remarkable accomplishments and advancements, we would like to express our opposition towards any demonstration targeting the government of Lagos State.
