The PDP had said before that the APC’s presidential candidate would not be able to run for office in the 2023 election because of legal action.
A spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council (APC PCC), Femi Fani-Kayode, criticized the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on February 25 for suing to stop Bola Tinubu from running for president.
Kola Ologbodiyan, the PDP campaign council’s spokeswoman, told the media on Monday that the party has petitioned the courts to remove Tinubu from office due to claims that he had been convicted of trafficking drugs in the US.
However, Fani-Kayode, who later in the day made a live appearance on Channel 4’s Politics Today, called the allegations untrue.
The former minister of aviation says that the PDP is using this issue as a smokescreen to hide the fact that the APC is also accusing the PDP’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, of corruption.
This is a flat-out untruth. a mendacious falsehood. absolute fabrication Tinubu was never found guilty. He wasn’t charged or found guilty, according to the Americans themselves.
“However, they continue to complain about these issues in a childlike manner. It has no foundation in reality. It’s quite easy to do. This is our civic duty.
We will continue to expose Atiku for who he truly is because we have a responsibility to do so. They have tried to get back at us by insulting us and making up stories that don’t have any proof to back them up.

“If you have that kind of proof, show it to the public so we can see it.” After that, we’ll give your argument some thought. Stop throwing bricks in places where there is nothing inside to support weight, he said.
Grouse from PDP
The PDP PCC said earlier on Monday that a legal procedure to bar the APC presidential candidate from running in the 2023 election has been started.
Ologbodiyan claims that the PDP is requesting a court order compelling the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to immediately remove Bola Tinubu from consideration as the APC’s or any other political party’s presidential candidate.
The party says that it wants a quick hearing to protect the country’s legal position on whether or not ex-offenders can run for office.
