Saturday Obasanjonews.com has reported that the previously unidentified organizers of the #EndBadGovernance protests, which are gaining momentum across the nation, have come forward.
Despite any obstacles, the organizers are determined to take to the streets on August 1st and raise their voices against inadequate governance, extensive suffering, and widespread hunger.
More than 25 organizations have promised to join the uprisings, underlining their dedication to confronting Nigeria’s pressing predicaments. They’ve officially appealed for authorization from twenty state governments to avail public facilities during their protests.
The groups that have officially agreed to participate are Concerned Nigerians, Nigerians Against Hunger, Initiative for Change, Take it Back Movement, Revolution Now, Human Rights Co-Advocacy Group,Nigerians Against Corruption Initiative,Citizens for Change Advocacy Initiative,Timely Intervention,Objective Citizens’ Assembly Students for Progressives Platform (OCASP), Syndicate of Active Nigerian Patriots and Millennials United For Better Nigeria.
The Convener of the Revolution Now Movement and a past presidential contender, Omoyele Sowore, has notably published an all-inclusive record of protest sites in 35 states alongside the Federal Capital Territory. He urged Nigerians to join their city or town protests if not stated on his list.

Prominent locations have been selected across regions such as Kano, Lagos, Cross River Jigawa Bauchi Enugu Ekiti and The Federal capital territory.
Highlighting the widespread backing for the protests, Damilare Adenola – who serves as Director of Mobilisation in FCT’s Take it Back Movement – noted that they stem from a shared discontent among Nigerians.
She went on to underscore the group’s plea to acquire National Stadium facilities and security from Nyesom Wike, their local Minister, before staging an orderly demonstration.
The demand of Nigerians Against Hunger spokesperson Tunde Thomas is direct and simple: to eradicate hunger.
Secretary-General of the Initiative for Change Ocean Panem echoes this sentiment by emphasizing that the objective of the protest is to amplify Nigerian voices, particularly from individuals in Middle Belt and Cross River regions.
Despite the possibility of encountering opposition, Jabir Yaro persists in his activism as National Chairman of Nigeria’s Northern Comrades Movement. He shrugs off any intimidations and actively encourages millions to join in on the demonstrations.
The Department of State Services (DSS) has been accused by the Take it Back Movement of freezing their United Bank of Africa account with the purported aim to impede their protest activities. The group has issued a warning that legal action will be taken if the freeze is not lifted within 24 hours.
