NNPCL Unveils Five New Mini LNG Plants

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL) launches five mini LNG plants to enhance gas supply and infrastructure across the country. 

On Thursday, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited inaugurated five mini-plants for Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) in Ajaokuta, Kogi State.

The five LNG mini-plants are PRIME LNG, NGML/Gasnexus LNG, BUA LNG, Highland LNG, and Arete.

These plants will obtain their natural gas feedstock from existing pipelines that extend to the Ajaokuta location.

The primary supply line for the mini-plants is the AKK pipeline, which stands for the Ajaokuta-Kano-Kaduna gas pipeline currently under construction by the Federal Government.

These plants would supply gas to regions of the country that currently lack any gas infrastructure.
