NNPC Responds to Allegations of Fuel Price Adjustment

Published

on

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Limited has refuted claims of altering the pump price of premium motor spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, at its retail outlets nationwide. Recent reports suggested a reduction in petrol price from N568 to N560 per liter and an increase in diesel price to N920 per liter.

However, NNPC’s spokesperson, Femi Soneye, dismissed these rumors in a statement issued on Wednesday. Soneye emphasized that there have been no adjustments in fuel prices and urged Nigerians to disregard such misinformation.

NNPC reiterated its commitment to ensuring the continuous availability of petroleum products across its retail stations throughout the country. This clarification comes in line with NNPC’s earlier announcement on February 9, affirming that there would be no hike in gasoline prices.
