Should the police arrest Comrade Joe Ajaero, President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), workers nationwide will go on strike and cause an economic shutdown as warned by the NLC.
Ajaero received an invitation from the Nigeria Police Force regarding allegations of being involved in financing terrorism, and this warning comes as a consequence.
During an emergency meeting of the National Executive Council (NEC), the NLC decided to ask for additional time from law enforcement in order to consult with legal advisors.
