Following a direction from the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, against the Federal government’s elimination of the gasoline subsidy, Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State, was shut down on Tuesday and Wednesday.

In the state capital, all government buildings and courts were closed, however some banks were still accessible to consumers.

Later on, though, a few of the banks joined the strike.
