NLC shutdown leads to pause in activities at Abuja airport
Passengers at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport were left stuck after the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) opened for business.
The primary entrance and exit of the airport were blocked by labour leaders who had earlier declared a protest during an Abuja press conference.
Customers cannot be picked up by cars or airport taxis anymore.
While others head to a road distant from the airport to catch taxis, other individuals go to catch their planes.
A lot of traffic is waiting for the demonstration to end on the way to the airport.
Some of the passengers are seen criticising Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma for the labour unrest that ensued after the attack on Nigerian Labour Congress President Joe Ajero. Passengers are seen talking about the astonishing event.
