NLC President Ajaero Clarifies: Proposed N105,000 Minimum Wage Not Endorsed by Labour
Joe Ajaero, the president of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), has denied rumours that organised labour is pressuring the Nigerian government to set a new minimum salary of N105,000.
Ajaero stated that organised labour was not the source of the N105, 000 minimum wage.
He made his remarks on Thursday at a press conference following the tripartite committee meeting.

All committee members attended the initial combined closed-door session, which lasted for around three hours.
Ajaero claims: “They’ve entered now; they’re visible.” To bring it to the general house for consideration, they will emerge later.
We’re all hoping that by tomorrow, which is Friday, everything will be alright. That’s what we all hope for. We don’t have any official or informal information on N105,000. Because it was not provided to us, we are still in the same position as before.
“We can’t say the government has a position until it is made public.”
